Initial Meeting/1:1 Session (45 minutes)
What does this entail?
An opportunity to get to know your child and also have a discussion with you
about the areas they need support in and if group sessions would be beneficial right now.
A time for your child to explore our room and play with whatever interests them
the most.
Establishing what type of play your child likes, the toys they enjoy and
what makes them happy – this will help us to understand whether an existing
group would suit your child or what group the may suit in the future.
Ensuring your child has a happy and positive experience with us.
Meeting children for this session gives us an idea of what group to place them in - ensuring they get the most out of their sessions should a space arise.
We also provide advice and information around neurodivergent children as well as any supports and therapies available to your child you could avail of in the meantime.
We help parents better understand a new diagnosis and families who are new to the world of neurodiversity. The internet can be a very negative space and we want parents to feel supported and to have a better understanding of what being autistic means.
*This meeting does not guarantee a space in a group – but it will help us figure out if your child will suit a group should a space arise, or if we can form a new group in the future.
***Please fill up our form on the ‘Contact Us’ page - we will arrange a 1:1 meeting depending on availability at the time.
